About Voices for Children Foundation

Each year, an average of nearly 700 children are in Yakima County’s dependency system. These are children whose families are broken. Their parents have been unwilling, or unable, to provide them with appropriate care, and the state has determined that remaining in their family home would put them at serious risk. They have been removed from their homes and placed in alternative care, or even moved from one placement to another in foster care. Through no fault of their own, their lives have been turned upside down. We are voices for these children. Voices for Children Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of neglected and abused children in our community. We seek to address the critical need in our community to protect and value children in foster care. They are a big part of our community's future.
