Since 2003, Voices for Children Foundation has advanced its mission to enrich the lives of the more than 700 abused and neglected children in Yakima’s foster care system. To this end, we have recently founded IDentity. IDentity is a unique approach to matching the clothing needs of children in foster care with donated resources of gently used apparel items in an appealing retail setting geared exclusively for them. Shopping is by invitation based on referral from members of the child welfare community. Invitees will enjoy a personalized no-cost “shopping” experience.
Together with our committed community members who have provided generous donations and invaluable volunteer support, we are pleased to launch IDentity. IDentity will not only provide our foster children with the apparel items they so desperately need, it will also help them regain a sense of value and respect.
